SHIPPING & TAXES
BravesDiva Polish is now offering international shipping to most countries! *rejoice* However, costs vary from country to country, so if you’re interested in making an international purchase, please EMAIL ME FIRST (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss your shipping options. Once the order + shipping is finalized, I will send you a PayPal invoice.
U.S. customers: Shipping is calculated on your PayPal checkout page, so don’t be alarmed when the shipping total isn’t showing on your Cart or Checkout pages.
Just so that you’ll know what to expect for costs, my USPS First-Class shipping is very simply calculated based on order total:
Up to $12.00 = $3.00
Up to $19.50 = $3.50
Up to $36.00 = $4.00
Up to $37.49 = $4.50
$37.50+ = $8.00
Please note: Michigan residents will be charged a 6% sales tax, which will be calculated into your total on the PayPal checkout page along with shipping. If you live outside of Michigan, you won’t be charged any sales tax.
Under normal conditions, it generally takes a couple of days to process & package orders for shipping.
But during sales & new polish/collection launches, processing & shipping might take an extra 3-5 days.
Thanks for your patience!
REFUNDS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES
All sales are final, so please confirm your order before submitting.
I’m not responsible for packages once they leave my possession. I pack orders very well, but sometimes the USPS seemingly plays field hockey with our stuffs, amirite?!
So if your order arrives with a damaged item, please email me at email@example.com within 48 hours of delivery (and include a picture) so that I will have a record of the damages caused by USPS.
Polishes travel through various temperature ranges during the shipping process, which can negatively affect their formulas. Especially during warmer & colder months, it’s always best to let your bottles sit for 24-48 hours before you open them, to allow the polish time to adjust to the temperature of your home. Opening and/or using them too soon after receiving them in the mail could result in the polishes thickening & becoming goopy.
5-FREE NAIL POLISH
What does “5-free” mean? My bases & pigments are free of the following potentially harmful chemicals that may be found in mainstream polishes: toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde resin & camphor.
If you’d like to see a list of the ingredients in my bases & pigments, please email me & I’ll be happy to send em to ya.
I don’t test my products on animals. I have five dogs & a cat…there’s no way in hell they’d ever sit still long enough for me to paint their nail claws. 😉
All polishes are hand-mixed in very small batches (I’m talkin’ 3-8 polishes at a time). I do my absolute best to maintain consistency from batch to batch, but slight variations may occur.
Also, different computer monitors can cause colors to vary slightly. My swatchers & I try our best to accurately depict true colors in the photos that are shown on this site.
STAINING & SEPARATION
I use high-quality & highly saturated pigments in my products, so staining is possible. It’s always advisable to apply a worthy base coat, especially under darker colored polishes.
It’s normal for bases & pigments to separate over time, so give your bottles a good shake every now then.
PROTOTYPES & OOPS BATCHES
From time to time, I create polishes that don’t make it into specific collections, or I start mixing with one color/finish in mind, only to have it turn out a little differently than what I wanted (an “oops” batch). I will occasionally list protos & oopses in the shop, so check back often to see what *very* limited editions might be available.
