Gradient Stamping Design Using Big-Ass Stamper from Jolie Polish

I purchased the turbo stamper (or as I call it, the “Big-Ass Stamper” or #BAS) from Jolie Polish months & months ago, but I didn’t have a blog at the time so I couldn’t write a proper review. I did flap my gums a bit in an Instablog review for the Wizard of Oz mani that I did, which can be found here.

Size comparison of the turbo stamper (Big-Ass Stamper) from Jolie Polish vs XL stampers from Fab Ur Nails.

Lawd chyle, this thang is huge. As you can see, it’s about four times the size of an XL stamper from Fab Ur Nails, about which I wrote this blog review.

YouTube video & mani pics after the jump. So let’s grab a beer & chat.

The BAS is 6cm x 4cm of soft & squishy silicone. I would say that it’s sticky, but not suuuuper sticky. My descriptive terms are very technical, I know. Continue reading “Gradient Stamping Design Using Big-Ass Stamper from Jolie Polish”

Review of Esmaltes da Kelly Nail Polish from Beautometry

After readin’ my blog post & seein’ the YouTube video of my review on the Creative Shop Space Collection stamper, Beautometry asked me to review some stamping polishes from Esmaltes da Kelly. I received three polishes, a Vive la Vie stamping plate & a nail file.

Lemme first give a huge shoutout to Beautometry for such generosity. Their kindness has given me another opportunity to act a damn fool on the innernets. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Ima tell y’all right now, this’ll be a pic-heavy post. You’ve been warned.

The polishes that I received are Leo, Doguito & Carina. The Vive la Vie plate is titled “Vacation,” but I’m not reviewin’ the plate in this post. That review will be up a bit later.

Leo & Doguito are from EdK’s Animals collection, and Carina is from her Nebulas Ultra Holo collex. All three can be used as regular polish & stamping polish, and are opaque in one coat. Continue reading “Review of Esmaltes da Kelly Nail Polish from Beautometry”

Review of Lady Queen Water Decals

I finally had some time last week to review the water decals that I received from Lady Queen. I hadn’t used water decals in so long, I’d forgotten how great they are. Perfect for some quick nail art & super easy to apply.

The Lady Queen decals were no different. They were a piece’a cake to put on & these flowers are just gorgeous.

I’ll be honest with ya…when I applied the first decal, my initial thought was, “OMG NAIL FAIL!” but I immediately had a moment of inspiration, added an additional technique & salvaged the second nail. *fist bump* Continue reading “Review of Lady Queen Water Decals”

Valentine’s Day Mani Using Stencils From WhatsUpNails

With V-Day upon us, I wanted to swatch this gorge Julep polish & use some cute stencils from whatsupnails to create my idea of a Valentine’s Day design. I’m not a pink-hearts-kisses-and-romance kinda chick, so I like the unconventional.

Full mani & YouTube tutorial after the jump. So let’s grab a beer & chat.

Julep “Rose” swatch.

Julep’s watermelon red creme, Rose, is so juicy & delish. I could’ve almost gotten away with one coat, but because I care nothing for polish-starved children in China, I selfishly slathered on a second coat.

This isn’t a fire engine red. So if true reds aren’t your thing, or if you don’t feel like a rich red looks good with your skintone, this is perfect.

And now for the fun part – vinyls! 🙂
